We’ve all seen beautiful embroideries on clothing, handbags and footwear since this Spring. However, embroidery has been around for a very long time. The ancient chinese had a long history of embroidery since the Neolithic age. Embroidery to them was a symbol of wealth and status, which is why the Emperor’s gown was always covered in hand embroidered embellishments.
Today, embroidery is a pure fashion statement that is adored by millions of fashion lovers around the world. I personally like embroidery that’s not too loud, which is why I fell in love with this lightweight pale pink/lilac embroidered top by Free People. I love the textured floral embroideries around the neckline and along the front armhole seams. The pastel colors along with the wide dolman sleeves and the tie detail, are the perfect fit to make this top even more romantic and elegant.
