Yay…a brand new week is here! I am so excited because Thanksgiving is this week, and I can’t wait to feast on lots of delicious food! 😀 Before I gain a few pounds (lol), I want to share this post of my latest obsession – plaid Bermuda shorts with a faux fur jacket.
Growing up I was never really into plaid. I thought it was more of an old-fashioned style. Oh boy was I wrong! This year, plaid dominated the fashion world and made it fashionable again to wear. So what changed? The answer is: the style and cut of the design. Fabric is fabric, but with the right design and cut you can turn any kind of fabric into the most desirable fashion piece.
In this post, I’m wearing plaid Bermuda shorts from Zara (similar here, and here). What I love about this pair of shorts is the paper bag with waist tie. Plaid is a dressier type of fabric, so the paper bag with waist tie makes it a bit more casual.
This is also why I love the textured faux fur jacket from Zara. Fur as we all know (faux or real) gives a luxurious feel and is very dressy. But the faux fur jacket I’m wearing is designed in a way (zip-front sweatershirt style) that makes it a little more casual, so it fits perfectly with the shorts.
To complete this nice casual chic look, I paired this outfit with a simple white button down shirt from Zara (similar here, here), and a pair of over the knee faux suede boots (similar here, here). You can wear ankle boots or booties with this outfit as well if you aren’t into thigh-high boots like me. 😉 Or, for a even more casual feel, wear a pullover top instead of the button down shirt.
What do you think about this outfit? How would you wear this faux fur jacket and shorts? Let me know in the comments. Thanks for reading and have a lovely week!
Always with LOVE,
