Ahh…don’t we all love green? 😜 I looovvvee green! It’s a beautiful color that goes well with any skin color (especially on olive-skinned girls like me) so I’m happy to see that it has earned it’s spot for Spring/Summer 2018 as one of the must-have colors to wear.
In this blog post, I’ll show you 4 simple outfit ideas using green to give you some inspiration. If green is a new color to your wardrobe and you’re not sure how to match any outfits with it, start with something simple like a romper, dress, or just match it with white (you can never go wrong with white!)
Below are more details:
1. Everything is easier with a romper. I love rompers, because it’s probably one of the easiest options when it comes to picking out an outfit for the day. The top and bottom are attached, what could be easier?! All you have to do is slide your legs in and voila, you are done!
So if you love green but are not sure how to match it, rompers (like the one I’m wearing here) would be a great starting point. You can wear a pair of flats for a more casual look, or heels to spice up the look for a date night.
2. Green is also a beautiful color for both long and short dresses. When it comes to dresses, we usually see a lot of black, red, blue and white in the stores. Just like red, green is a very vibrant color. So if you want to stand out in the crowd, a green dress in either floral print or solid will definitely pop.
3. Not a long dress kind of gal? Then opt for a shorter dress like the one I’m wearing here. I paired all of my green looks with neutral colored shoes (nude or metallic gold). This way, the color of your shoes will not fight for attention with the green, and it will also create the illusion of longer legs! 😉
4. For an everyday look or a work-appropriate outfit, you can just wear a pair of green pants with your favorite top. If you want something a little more fun, then add a floral/tropical print like the pants I’m wearing here. Wearing these kinds of fun, summery prints might just brighten up a long day at work. I chose to wear a plain white button down shirt here, but feel free to try out any tops with yellow or nudes tones for a softer look, or pink and fuchsia for a more vibrant tropical feel.
And there you have it, your 4 different looks in green! Which one is your favorite? I’m a glam girl when it comes to dressing up so for me, I love the long green floral dress. 🙂
Hope you enjoyed reading and happy dressing!
